Doctor's Visit

I am officially back on the medicine that I was on before I was pregnant. We stopped treatments because I got pregnant, but we thought we were near the end of treatments. My doctor wanted to start where we left off since we saw improvement. The medicine is not cheap in the least even with insurance and because my doctor was not covered by my insurance, I have to hand in a medical form to my insurance company. He is also out of area so that also brings up the price.

The probiotic I am on is Saccharomyces Boulardii for those of you looking for a good one. You really have to take a probiotic while being on a lot of medicine because they are heavy doses and you can have major issues if you don't.

Right now I have to name a few symptoms:

fatigue
really bad ear to jaw pain (it's a nerve)
back pain
brain fog
joint issues if walking or running for a while (most of this has been resolved from my other treatments)
anxiety
short term memory loss
headaches

These are the ones that cause me issues a lot. Lyme hits everyone differently, especially depending on the co-infection(s) you might have.

When I was diagnosed, I had Ehrlichiosis co-infection along with Lyme Disease. Ehrlichiosis was treated properly but Lyme was not. My doctor also found out that I have bebesia as well. This is why it is important to be on more than one antibiotic at a time because Lyme Disease is very complexed and can change form among the cells. Please see my useful references page for more information on how Lyme Disease really works.

Overall...I am very blessed to have such a great doctor. I am going back in May for another check up and IV treatment. IV treatments really help boost your immune system (they give you the vitamins right to your veins which is much more effective). I have found that they help. Unfortunately, insurance companies don't cover them because they are a natural method but very important. It's important to use natural methods along with antibiotics to get rid of Lyme disease.
