Here I go back to Pennsylvania.
It is official that after many phone calls, headaches and frustrations that I have decided to return to my doctor in Pennsylvania who is 6 hours from my house. Thankfully my parents still live in PA and I can make it an over night trip. Traveling far to be treated for Lyme Disease is very common. I'm not sure people are willing to travel 6 hours but I have heard that some are. All I know is that I don't want to start over with treatments and my doctor is a very educated Lyme Literate doctor who has already prescribed treatment that was working. I'm not willing to let that go. He also takes insurance which is actually rare when it comes to Lyme Literate doctors. We really can't afford paying out of pocket for treatments. It gets very expensive with insurance let alone with out.
I'm doing this for my husband, my son, my ministry and myself. I need to take care of myself before my symptoms get worse. They are on the rise again and I want to get rid of this disease once and for all. It takes money, time and patience but at this point I am willing. I know that God will provide all the finances we need and I'm just thankful that my parents aren't too far from my doctor so that I can even have a babysitter since my husband has to work.
For those of you out there who are having a hard time finding a good Lyme Literate doctor, as you can see I can relate. God led me to this doctor in 2010. I'm staying optimistic through this continuing treatments.
I am also so thankful that I have a husband who is supporting me traveling such a long distance to get treated. It stinks that I have to travel so far but he is being very understanding.
